Where in the city is the hotel located?
The Golden Ring Hotel is located in the center of the city, on Smolenskaya Ploshchad, not far from Kiev Station and 100 meters from the pedestrian Arbat street.
Which is the nearest metro station?
It's a 5-minute walk from the hotel to Smolenskaya on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya (colored navy-blue on the metro map) and the Filevskaya (colored light-blue on the metro map) lines.
How do I get to the hotel from Sheremetevo Airport?
It's probably best to get a taxi, which will take just over an hour. Another possibility is to catch one of the marshrutki, or minibus-taxis, which leave every five to 10 minutes and take 20 minutes to reach the Rechnoi Vokzal metro station. Take the metro to Teatralnaya, change to Ploshchad Revolyutsii, and travel to Smolenskaya, from where you can reach the hotel on foot in 5 minutes.
How do I get to the hotel from Domodedovo Airport?
Again, your best option is probably a taxi, which should take just over an hour. Or there's the marshrutka option: They leave about every five minutes, and take 40 minutes to get to Domodedovskaya metro station. Take the metro to Teatralnaya, change to Ploshchad Revolyutsii, travel to Smolenskaya, and from there the Golden Ring is 5 minutes on foot.
How do I get to the hotel from Vnukovo Airport?
As with Domodedovo, a taxi ride will take just over an hour. The marshrutki leave less frequently - every 10 minutes - and take 30 minutes to get to Yugo-Zapadnaya. From Yugo-Zapadnaya (Sokolnicheskaya line, colored red on the metro map) travel to Okhotny Ryad, change to Ploshchad Revolyutsii, and continue to Smolenskaya. Then it's just a 5 minute walk to the Golden Ring.
How do I get to the hotel from Leningrad Station, Yaroslavl Station or Kazan Station?
The best way to reach the hotel from any of these three stations, all of which are located on Komsomolskaya Ploshchad, is by metro. From Komsomolskaya, take the circle line (Koltsevaya Liniya, colored brown on the map available here) to Kurskaya, then change and travel to Smolenskaya, from where the hotel is 5 minutes away on foot.
How do I get to the hotel from Kursk Station?
As you might expect, the metro is best. From Kurskaya, take the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line (colored navy-blue on the metro map) line to Smolenskaya. After which it's a 5-minute walk to the hotel.
How do I get to the hotel from Belarus Station?
Again, best by metro: From Belorusskaya travel along the Koltsevaya line (colored brown on the metro map) to Kievskaya, change onto the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line (colored navy-blue on the metro map) and travel to Smolenskaya, then 5 minutes walk to the hotel.
How do I get to the hotel from Kiev Station?
Take the metro from Kievskaya straight to Smolenskaya, from where its 5 minutes on foot.
Where can I park near the hotel?
There is parking space next to the hotel.
Where can I rent a car?
Unfortunately, the Golden Ring Hotel does not offer this service.
Where can I change money?
The hotel has a bureau de change handling rubles, U.S. dollars and euros, as well as an ATM.
How can I make international telephone calls?
The simplest way is to use an IP-telephony card, which you can buy either in the hotel or at practically all of the city's kiosks.
Where can I get Internet access?
All of the hotel's rooms have a high-speed Internet access port for notebook computers. If you don't have a notebook, there are Internet cafes all over the city. The biggest is located in the underground shopping center on Manezhnaya Ploshchad, which is reachable by metro from Smolenskaya to Ploshchad Revolyutsii.
Does the hotel have satellite television?
All of the hotel's rooms are equipped with satellite television.
How do I get from the hotel to the Kremlin?
Take the metro from Smolenskaya to Ploshchad Revolyutsii, exit onto Manezhnaya Ploshchad, and it's five minutes' walk to the Kremlin.
How do I get from the hotel to the Bolshoi Theater?
Take the metro direct from Smolenskaya to Ploshchad Revolyutsii. For a free metro map, click here.
How do I get from the hotel to the Tretyakov Gallery?
Take the metro from Smolenskaya to Ploshchad Revolyutsii, change over to Teatralnaya and carry on to Novokuznetskaya.
Which sights are located near to the hotel?
The famous Arbat pedestrian street is located 10 minutes from the hotel, while 20-30 minutes' walk along the Garden Ring towards Krimskaya Ploshchad brings you to Gorky Park.
