Comfortable and a bargain

My wife and I stayed in the Delta Gamma Hotel 4 times. There is a difference between the delta section and the gamma section, so you will have to ask about this aspect. This is definitely our favorite Hotel (for the money) and we have stayed in all the hotels between there and Red Square. The breakfast there - if you get it - was a huge buffet with 50 or more various dishes. That really reduced the cost of staying in Moscow.

Good and affordable

+ the staff is quite friendly. + room is clean. + there are 3 towels per person, and they are changed everyday. + in hotel, there is a chemist, I was ill during my stay, and it was very beneficial for me, even the staff doesn't know english. + very close to metro station, and it takes about 15-20 minutes to go to red square. + breakfast is really good. there are lots of alternatives. The price is not cheap, about 12$, but it worths. + location is great. There are many small shops for eating around the hotel. There is also a mall, and you can find KFC there if you want a global taste. - there is no air condition in rooms (unless your room description mentions air conditioning). In summer, the room may get hot because of the hot weather of moscow. I was out of luck to be there when it was 33 celsius degree outside.

Good value for the money

Stayed at delta 2001 and gamma 2009. Good value for the money in moscow. Nice food. Very clean. Would recommend it for quality and convenience to centre.

Nice!

Stayed for 4 nights. Very friendly staff. English not too good, but they could manage. Rooms are cheap, simple and clean. You have a nice view from the 20st floor! Good access to the metro (and everyone travels by metro).

value

I have stayed here twice. Friendly staff. Breakfast is worth the price. Rooms plain, but comfortable. Fast connections to center of town by Metro (subway).

We stayed in The Beta Hotel, September of 2006 The location is great.

Close to grocery stores and The Market. We stayed for 8 days and loved the facilities. We wish there were more employees who spoke English because they seemed very friendly.... even if they never smile. The breakfast and dinner were excellent everyday. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel attendants on every floor and security in the main lounge made us feel very safe.

I stayed at the Izmailova Hotel for 8 nights.

I found the staff friendly, the buffet breakfast to bountiful with excellent food and great coffee, the rooms clean but plain. I will definitely stay there again. The room rate was low when compared to other hotels in Moscow. I'd recommend it if you are not expecting a luxury hotel.

I stayed here with my wife in September 2005 for a weekend.

I had reserved via Internet just a couple of days previously and everything worked just as it should! We stayed in a superior, renovated room and were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was copious and very varied - almost a "brunch". Value for money: excellent. The location is also excellent - just a 12-minute metro ride from Red Square with no line change. I thoroughly recommend the hotel for both private and business use. We later stayed in a 5-star hotel in central Moscow for over 3 times the price. It was very good, but not 3 times as good!

Cheap hotel and very good for me and for backpackers, I was able to save money on the accommodation for my trip on the Trans-Siberian train all the way through to China. Not near the centre but is not a problem for the metro is very good and fast.

I travel to Moscow six or seven times a year on business. For the first few years I would stay downtown at the five-star hotels. Very nice but expensive. The hotels at Izmilovo (Gamma-Delta,Bega) are very reasonably priced alternatives. Clean, comfortable but not luxurious rooms, with TV and shower, friendly staff, good reataurants and bar. For about 1/5 the price of the downtown 5 stars, I would always stay at Izmailovo Easy access from the Metro.
