Reception service

The reception was very slow and we had to wait just to check-in. Fortunately, the rooms are in good shape and the housekeeping is friendly.

I found my impressions from the Cosmos Hotel to be very mixed. On the one hand it is not all that expensive for Moscow and it is a very big hotel with a lot of amenities. On the other, the rooms are definitely waiting for renovation, and there are many small irritations like no hairdryers (hire them from reception for payment, go down 12 floors before you can wash your hair), a not so good buffet breakfast, and very heavy security presence (maybe this is an advantage?). Dining at the hotel was good, apparently. Certainly the Jintang restaurant was tasty and not expensive.

This is a big, impersonal hotel, but overall I had a very positive experience at the Cosmos. It's not as expensive as Moscow can be and, though it's not in the centre, the metro is great. I also loved the area around the hotel, which is a haven of all things Soviet. The VDNKh park is spectacular, and I particularly enjoyed the Space Museum, which brought back memories of childhood. I was also really impressed by the money changing machines in the lobby. They don't offer the best rates, but it's reasonable and they work 24-hour. Never seen that before.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THE HOTEL WAS FINE. BREAKFAST IS FABULOUS. THERE IS A CASINO AN EROTIC NIGHTCLUB.

We felt safe;

The rooms were adequate. I liked the hustle and bustle of the lobby. Shop keepers were friendly and helpful. Wake-up calls were unreliable.

Good Hotel. Nice rooms with a very conveniant metro station and a 24 hour supermarket next door. The elevators were very slow.

This hotel was fine. The journey into town was only 5 metro stops and a complete pleasure on the Moscow subway. My room 2309 was a standard room and perfectly OK. Security was tight. Nothing was dated. I'd ended up here by mistake and was very pleased I did. Moscow is very expensive and I didn't like that but I can't blame the hotel for the exchange rate. I'll be staying at Cosmos again.

I enjoyed the Cosmos hotel. Food was adequate. There is a small casino plus a wide shopping area. Elevators are marked for different floors and there is a guard so you need to show a room key. Only drawback was too far from the city to walk. Metro is next door.Alot of tour groups stay here and trying to reach the front desk is difficult.

Very much a good business hotel. Very large and Soviet but many services and nice rooms. Only complaint is that room service was very slow.
