Cosmos Hotel

One of Moscow's largest hotels, the 25-storey Cosmos Hotel was built in 1980 for the Moscow Olympics. Due to its size and reasonably convenient location just across the road from VDNKh metro station, it is an extremely popular choice with tour groups and business travellers. While the Cosmos is unlikely to delight guests, it is reliable choice for simple and normally inexpensive accommodation at a full-service hotel with a huge range of business and leisure facilities.

In total the Cosmos Hotel has 1 777 guest rooms and suites, all reasonably spacious and simply decorated. Rooms come with standard amenities, including complimentary WiFi access and centralized air-conditioning. Superior Rooms occupy the top three floors of the hotel and feature spectacular birds-eye views of the vast metropolis. The Cosmos boasts a very large fitness centre and 240-square-meter swimming pool. MICE spaces are some of the most extensive in Moscow, including the 1000-seat Congress Hall.

Dining options are numerous and varied and guests have the opportunity to sample not only traditional Russian cuisine, but the spicier flavors and Asian specialties of Georgian cooking. Although not centrally located and quite a distance from the capital's major tourist attractions, the Cosmos stands just across from the All-Russian Exhibiton Centre, an impressive complex originally designed and built to demonstrate the great economic achievements of the Soviet regime. By metro from VDNKh, it is possible to reach the Kremlin and Red Square in little over 20 minutes.
