If you are about to travel on the Trans-Siberian, this is surely a perfect place to stay. We arrived in Moscow two days before our train, three people in a Business Suite, which was not hostel price but not so pricey either. Very comfortable, easy to see the centre on foot or by metro. Thanks to the kitchen, we could cook some provisions for our train journey. And the station was only five minutes in the taxi. Probably, we could have walked in comfort.

For me, this was the ideal compromise between a hotel and apartment, and for the centre of Moscow it really wasn't expensive. Rooms are simple, but light and airy, and the kitchens are really well equipped. I ate in three nights I was there, and it was easy to find groceries round the metro. Eating out was also a treat, with a great choice of restaurants within five minutes' walk. I particularly liked Aprel on B. Spasskaya Ulitsa, which had some of the best Russian food I've tried, and the complex of restaurants at 8, B. Spasskaya, which included Georgian (very good), Thai, and Chinese.
