| Can be recommended... |
| I was there in October 2010 and sort of liked the place. Perhaps I am not a typical because my company paid for the upgrade to VIP Double and hence I could use their VIP Lounge and and a few little perks... The location is very convenient, just around a few corners from the Bolshoi Theater and just across the road from their Central Bank. If you know which way to go, the Red Square and the Kremlin were within a fairly short walk. The area's affluent with a mix of government offices, expensive hotels and even more expensive restaurants. My room at this hotel was comfortable, well equipped and, I guess, quite reasonably priced on Moscow scale. I liked the food which was very sound at breakfast and with an innovative twist it the evenings. I only had dinner there once... It was a bit of a pain to pay for Internet connection, but I heard this is still a rather widespread practice in Moscow. The gym and the pool where smallish, but met my expectations. All in all, it was OK and can be recommended. |
