Peking Hotel

The Peking Hotel is located directly opposite the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, one of Moscows top classical music venues, with concerts by the Moscow Philharmonic and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra featuring top Russian and international soloists. Triumfalnaya Ploshchad is also home to the Theater of Satire, and to the magnificent Monument to Vladimir Mayakovsky, the great futurist poet.

Also very close to the Peking Hotel is the Mikhail Bulgakov Museum. For fans of the author of The Master and Margarita, this small museum in the communal apartment where he and his wife lived from 1921-1924 is a must-see, as it features in the novel as the apartment where Voland and his coterie hold court. Also connected to the novel are the Patriarch's Ponds, a historic boating lake about ten minutes' walk from the Peking Hotel, widely considered one of the most beautiful spots in central Moscow.

To walk from the Peking Hotel to the Kremlin and Red Square takes 30-40 minutes, but is well worth it, with the option of walking down bustling Tverskaya Ulitsa, Moscows busiest central street, or the equally historic and fascinating Ulitsa Petrovka and Ulitsa Bolshaya Dmitrovka, both of which have numerous sights of interest.
