Nearest metro: Orehovo

The Orekhovo Apart-Hotel is located in the far south of Moscow, in a modern but pleasantly green residential district, close to Tsaritsyno Park, one of Moscow's most famous royal estates.

The hotel is only 200m from Orekhovo Metro Station, which is on the dark-green line and eight stops south of Teatralnaya, close to Red Square and the Kremlin in the very centre Moscow, making it possible for guests to reach the downtown in only half-an-hour.

Moscow's mainline railway stations, which are located in a ring around the historic centre, are all some distance from the Orekhovo Hotel, taking 40-60 minutes to reach by car. On the other hand, the hotel is very conveniently located for both Vnukovo and Domodedovo Airports, which are roughly 30km from the hotel and can be reached without braving central Moscow's appalling traffic jams. Sheremetyevo Hotel, which is on the opposite side of the city, can be accessed via the Moscow ring road. Depending on traffic, the journey can take anywhere from 50 to 90 minutes.
Local sightseeing
The major visitor attraction near the Orekhovo Hotel is Tsaritsyno Palace and Park, which is around ten minutes' walk from the hotel. With connections to the Russian royal family dating back to the late 16th century (when it belonged to the sister of Tsar Boris Godunov), the estate was bought by Catherine the Great in 1775. The Empress set several prominent architects to work to create a palace and landscape garden. Although the remarkable pseudo-Gothic palace and many of the fascinating buildings in the grounds were never actually completed, a recent restoration project has ensured that all of them now have roofing and recreated interiors. The park is a beautiful place for summer excursions, and there are several interesting buildings and museums around the grounds.
