How do I get to the hotel from Domodedovo Airport?

Domodedovo Airport is situated to the south-east of Moscow, nearly 60km from the Historical Hotel Sovietsky. This can mean a very long journey by taxi, especially at peak times, so guests may prefer to consider the relatively convenient Aeroexpress rail link.

By taxi
It is likely to take at least 90 minutes to reach the Historical Hotel Sovietsky by car. Official airport taxis currently around cost roughly $60 (for an economy-class sedan) or $80 (for executive class sedans and MPVs) or, alternatively, you can arrange a transfer with a driver to meet you off the plane here.

By train
The Aeroexpress rail link operates between Domodedovo Airport and Pavelets Station in central Moscow. Trains run daily from 6am to 12am every 30 minutes. The journey takes 40-50 minutes and standard single tickets costs around $11, with child, family, and first-class tickets also available. To complete your journey to the hotel, take the metro from Paveletskaya Metro Station, and travel north six stops on the dark-green line to Dinamo, around 500m from the hotel.

By bus
Bus services run from Domodedovo to Domodedovskaya Metro Station, in the south-east of Moscow. Regular buses and minibus shuttles leave at least every 15 minutes between 6am and 1am, and there are less frequent minibus services through the night. From Domodedovskaya, it is 13 stops north on the dark-green line north to Dinamo Metro Station, approximately ten minutes' walk from the Historical Hotel Sovietsky.
