Excellent in every way!

I spent a week at the Golden Ring Hotel with my grown son and daughter while we visited family in Russia. We found the hotel to be excellent in every way. The breakfast buffet alone was worth the stay. Staff was courteous and housekeeping seemed to be invisible. If I left my room for a short time, on returning it was tidied and I never saw anyone go in or out. On subsequent visits I have stayed with family but, if I ever need a hotel in Moscow again, you can be sure it will be the Golden Ring.

The Golden Ring Hotel really exceeded all our expectations. With its mixture of bright lights and old-world class, it seemed more like America than Europe. Even so, there were so many fantastic touches. The public spaces were really luxurious, the harp player at breakfast (and the breakfast itself) was breathtaking, and we loved the champagne and caviar in the Yesenin Restaurant - definitely worth splashing out on.

On balance, I'd recommend the Golden Ring, particularly if you're travelling on business. Don't be put off by the garish exterior, inside there's a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The service at the Golden Ring is efficient, but can be a little bit cold - don't expect smiles and a gushing welcome. The breakfast selection is one of the best things at the hotel. Otherwise dining there gets kinda pricey, but if you want to save money, there's a good supermarket (and a MacDonald's!!!) just across the road.

the hotel was great

When i went and stayed at the Golden Ring Hotel i had an amazing experience. The cleaning service did an excellent job vacuuming the floor and the room serice was quik and always got my orders right. The beds and linens were also very comfortable. They had amazing sponge cake and the spa was so relaxing. The hotel was in great condtion. I didn't see a single bug there and none of the windows were broken. I will definitly stay there again when I go back to Moscow.

I've stayed once and was impressed when compared to the Raddison or the Hayatt both of which were more expensive but not as nice. The rooms in the Golden Ring are superb. I've just confirmed my reservation for a second visit. I speak as one who has travelled the globe on business with all expenses paid - The GR is up there with the rest.

I stayed at the Golden Ring Hotel while on a business trip to Moscow in June. The staff provided a very friendly and efficient service. A lovely touch was live harp music with breakfast which was so relaxing. There was also live music in the bar some nights. The hotel was only about a 2 minute walk from the Metro so you could easily get downtown to see the sights.

We had a marvelous stay in Moscow at the Golden Ring Hotel. Wonderful interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too, must recommend the hotel's Esenin Restaurant for the blini and caviar and some exquisite salmon dishes. Very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel. My only qualm was that the restaurant closed a little too early each evening.
