Despite a slightly out-of-the-way location, the Bega Hotel has earned a reputation as one of the best standard hotels in Moscow thanks to its combination of reasonable rates, clean and comfortable accommodation, and unusually friendly service.
Housed in an 11-storey building dating from the 1980s, the Bega Hotel has 145 renovated guest rooms, all modern and comfortably furnished, with air-conditioning and WiFi access standard. The hotel also has a 24-hour restaurant and a functional conferencing space with seating for up to 45 people. Standard business and concierge services are available at reception, and the English-speaking staff are highly praised for their helpfulness.
The hotel is located next to the Central Moscow Hippodrome, the city's main racetrack (Bega is the Russian for "racing"), and many rooms on the higher floors of the hotel have charming views of the Hippodrome's splendid neoclassical buildings, as well as the horses exercising in the mornings. The Bega Hotel is located a little to the north-west of Moscow's downtown, close to Belarusskiy Station and about 15 minutes' walk from Begovaya and Dinamo Metro Stations.
