How do I get from the hotel to the Tretyakov Gallery?

The simplest way to get to Moscow's most famous art museum from the Arbat Hotel is to take the metro from Smolenskaya Metro Station (about 200m from the hotel) and travel east two stops on the dark-blue line to Ploshchad Revolyutsii. Change there to the dark-green line and continue your journey south one stop to Novokuznetskaya. From there it is around seven minutes' walk to the Tretyakov Gallery on Lavrushinsky Pereulok (the "Old Tretyakrov").
