How do I get from the hotel to the Tretyakov Gallery?

You can easily get to the Tretyakov Gallery from the hotel on foot in just over 20 minutes from the Akademicheskaya by walking north along Leninskiy Prospekt/Ulitsa Bolshaya Yakimanka until you reach the embankment. Then turn right and take the third turn on the right to Lavrushinskiy Pereulok, home of the Tretyakov. It is quicker, however, to take the orange metro line one stop north from Oktyabrskaya Station to Tretyakovskaya Metro Station, which is just around the corner from the Gallery. The Tretyakov's impressive collection of 20th century art can be found abut ten minutes' walk from the hotel in the Central House of Artists on Krimskiy Val.
