How do I get from the hotel to the Kremlin?

It is possible to walk to the Kremlin and Red Square from the Ulanskaya Hotel in a little under 30 minutes. Turn left out the hotel and then right onto Prospekt Akademika Sukharova. At the end of the street, turn right along Sretenskiy Bulvar and take the first left down Ulitsa Lubyanka. At Lubyanskaya Ploshchad, bear right along Teatralniy Proezd until you come out onto Teatralnaya Ploshchad, in front of the Bolshoi Theatre. From here the Kremlin walls and towers are clearly visible, as are the gates to Red Square. Alternatively, take the metro from Chistye Prudy Station (five minutes' walk from the hotel) and travel south on the red line three stops to Biblioteka im. Lenina, which can be exited right opposite the Kremlin's main visitor entrance in the Kutafya Tower. The whole journey should take no more than 15 minutes.
