Nearest metro: Krasnoselskaya

The Mandarin Residences Hotel is housed in a historic neoclassical mansion located to the north-east of downtown Moscow. The Mandarin Residences is very close (5 minutes' drive) to Komsomolskaya Ploshchad – site of Leningradskiy, Kazanskiy, and Yaroslavskiy Stations – and also reasonably close to the Sokolniki Exhibition Center.

The nearest metro station to the hotel, Krasnoselskaya, is just under ten minutes' walk away. From there it is little over ten minutes' journey to Biblioteka im. Lenina, for the Kremlin. Komsomolskaya and Baumanskaya Metro Stations are also within comfortable walking distance.

Moscow's other mainline stations are all within 30 minutes' drive of the Mandarin Residences. Sheremetyevo International Airport is 37km from the hotel, and the drive will take 40-70 minutes. Vnukovo is a similar distance, while the drive to/from Domodedovo (43km) is likely to take well over an hour.
Local sightseeing
The Mandarin Residences offers fast metro access to Moscow's main visitor attractions, with the Kremlin and Red Square only a little over 20 minutes door-to-door from the hotel. The area immediately around the hotel, while containing many historic buildings, is not likely to be of much interest to most visitors.

The exception, only ten minutes' walk from the Mandarin Residences, is the Epiphany Cathedral at Elokhovo. Built 1837-1845 (on the site of an earlier church where Alexander Pushkin was baptized), this magnificent Empire-style cathedral rose to prominence in the Soviet period as the home church of the Patriarchs – principally because it was the largest church to survive the Bolsheviks' closures. As such, it is one of very few historic churches to have survived the 20th century intact, and its lavish interiors are particularly noteworthy.
