Slavyanka Hotel

The Slavyanka Hotel is a low-cost standard hotel with a surprisingly extensive range of facilities and an attractive location close to Moscow's central Garden Ring. Until recently run by the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Slavyanka Hotel retains a somewhat official atmosphere, but nonetheless offers efficient service and inexpensive accommodation.

The Slavyanka Hotel has 308 guest rooms in a wide range of categories, from spacious three-room suites to compact economy singles with shared bathroom facilities. While they could hardly be described as luxurious, the Slavyanka's Economy Class rooms provide some of the cheapest hotel accommodation available in downtown Moscow, while better equipped suites and studios are also very reasonably priced. And the wide range of room types available makes the Slavyanka Hotel a good choice for groups of friends travelling together, providing further economies for guests who are willing to share rooms.

The Slavyanka is still used by the Russian military for conferences and meetings, which is why it can also offer two simple meeting spaces for up to 60 people. The hotel also has a health center with small indoor pool, sauna, and a billiard room, as well as two cafe-restaurants, one of which is open until midnight. The Slavyanka Hotel is located about 500 m north of the central Garden Ring, and only a few minutes' walk from Dostoevskaya Metro Station, making it possible to reach Red Square and the Kremlin in around 20 minutes. There are several historic sites connected with the Red Army close to the Slavyanka Hotel.
