Ritz-Carlton Hotel

The Ritz Carlton Hotel is superbly situated for access to Moscow's most popular visitor attractions. It is less than 100m from the hotel to the 17th century Resurrection Gate leading onto Red Square, where visitors will find the Lenin Mausoleum, the beautiful GUM shopping arcade and, of course, St. Basil's Cathedral. Next to the gate is the State History Museum, with extensive and informative exhibits charting the history of Russia.

In front of the museum, next to the entrance to the Aleksandrinsky Garden is the impressive equestrian statue of World War Two hero Marshal Georgy Zhukov, while in the gardens themselves Moscow's eternal flame burns in memory of the war dead. Just east of the gardens is the Manezh, an impressive neoclassical building that was once a riding school, then the central garage for the Kremlin, and is now an exhibition center. Once you pass the Manezh, you are already at the main visitor entrance for the Kremlin itself.
