Which visitor attractions are located near the hotel?

Ozerkovskaya Hotel

Many of Moscow's major downtown visitor attractions are within theoretical walking distance of the Ozerkovskaya Hotel, including the Kremlin, Red Square and the Tretyakov Gallery. In the immediate vicinity, the most interesting attractions are two medieval monasteries just across the Moskva River from the hotel. The Novospasskiy Monastery dates back at its current location to 1491, and is particularly notable for the 17th century frescoes in its katholikon (main church), while the Krutitsy Metochion, once the seat of the Bishops of Sarai and Don, is arguably the best preserved of any of Moscow's religious houses.

Even closer to the hotel, Lenin's Funerary Train is a fine steam locomotive kept in a pavilion behind Pavelets Station, while the Bakhrushin Central Theatre Museum has a wealth of fascinating memorabilia from the turn-of-the-century heyday of Russian theatre.
