Vnukovo Airport is south-west of central Moscow, approximately 45km from the Metropol Hotel. As with Moscow's other airports, the Aeroexpress rail link is probably the most reliable way of getting to the hotel from the airport.
By taxi
The drive from Vnukovo to the Metropol will take around one hour, and official taxis cost around $60. If you would prefer the convenience of a driver to meet your flight, you can order an airport transfer here.
By train
Aeroexpress trains run from Vnukovo to Kiev Station in downtown Moscow. Services operate daily 6am to 12am every hour. The journey takes 30-40 minutes, and single adult tickets cost a little over $10. Child discounts, family tickets and first class tickets are also available. Then, from Kievskaya Metro Station take the dark-blue line and travel three stops east to Ploshchad Revolyutsii, which is less than 100m from the Metropol.
By bus
Although there is little advantage in using them, there are also bus services running from Vnukovo to Yugo Zapadnaya Metro Station in the far south-west of Moscow. Regular buses (611 and 611c) run from 5.30am to 12.50am daily at 10-15 minute intervals. The journey takes just under 25 minutes and tickets cost $3-4. There is also a faster minibus shuttle service (611b and 45) that runs from 7am to 11pm. Once you have got to Yugo Zapadnaya, take the metro north on the red line eight stops to Okhotny Ryad, which is around five minutes' walk from the Metropol.
