It is roughly 55km from Domodedovo International Airport, located to the south-east of central Moscow, to the Metropol Hotel. While taxi or transfer is the most comfortable way to reach the hotel, due to Moscow's traffic congestion the Aeroexpress rail link is usually the quickest option.
By taxi
It will take around 90 minutes to make the journey from Domodedovo to the Metropol Hotel by car. Official airport taxis cost $50 (for an economy sedan) or $70 (for an executive-class car). If you prefer, you can order an airport transfer with driver to meet your flight here.
By train
The Aeroexpress rail service takes passengers from Domodedovo to Pavelets Railway Station in downtown Moscow. Trains run daily from 6am to 12am at 30-minute intervals, and the journey takes 40-50 minutes. Tickets cost a little over $10 one-way for adults, with discounts for small children, family tickets and first class tickets available. From Paveletskaya Metro Station, take the dark-green line and travel two stops north to Teatralnaya Metro Station, which is around 100m from the Metropol.
By bus
Bus services run from the airport to Domodedovskaya Metro Station, in the far south-west of Moscow, and are the only public transport option that works around-the-clock. The airport bus stop is located between exits 2 and 3 of the arrivals lounge. Regular bus services (journey time 25-30 minutes) run from 6am to 12am daily every 15 minutes, and cost a little over $3. There is also a marshrutka minibus shuttle service ($4-5, from 6am to 12am every 15 minutes, and with a less frequent service all through the night). To complete your journey, take the metro and travel north on the dark-green line nine stops to Teatralnaya, which is less than five minutes' walk from the Metropol Hotel.
