Lotte Hotel

It is possible to walk from the Lotte Hotel to the Kremlin and Red Square, although it will take around 30 minutes. Closer to the hotel, one of Moscow's oldest districts is centered around Ulitsa Arbat, the pedestrian precinct famous for street performers, souvenir stalls, and outdoor cafes. Among the sites on Arbat are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of the Stalinist neo-gothic skyscrapers known as the "Seven Sisters", and the Pushkin Apartment Museum, in the building where the great poet lived after his marriage. Also of note at the end of Ulitsa Novaya Arbat is the charming Church of St. Simeon on Povarskaya, a charming 17th century church that stands in striking contrast to the monotonous 1960s towerblocks that line the rest of the street.
