Where can I eat near the hotel?

Brighton Hotel

The Brighton Hotel's own restaurant is probably the most highly rated in the area, although there are a few other eateries worth checking out.

Kulinar No. 1
10 Petrovsko-Razumovskiy Prospekt
This large, ornately decorated restaurant is designed for parties and events, but is still worth a look for those interested in trying the cuisine of Russia's nearest neighbors. The menu is a mixture of Caucasian and Central Asian dishes - what Russian's consider "Eastern cuisine" - including plenty of grilled meat, spicy soups and interesting vegetarian options. The reasonably cooked, but not cheap.

Brussels
10/12 Timiryazevskaya
You're probably not in Russia to eat Belgian food, but this is still a place worth trying for reasonably up-market Belgian and French cuisine in attractive surroundings, as well as a good selection of bottled and draft beers. Prices are high.

Prana
9/2, Dmitrovskoye Shosse
Part of a yoga centre about 15 minutes' walk from the hotel, this simple, airy cafe is a real find for vegetarians, offering a short but well thought out and exceptionally healthy menu of soups, salads, snacks, beans and grains.
