The Sretenskaya Hotel is situated in the historic centre of Moscow on Ulitsa Sretenka, just beyond the Boulevard Ring, and around 25 minutes' walk from the Kremlin and Red Square.

The closest metro station to the Sretenskaya Hotel is Sukharevskaya on the orange line which is around 250m from the hotel.
How do I get to the hotel from Sheremetyevo Airport?
It is just over 30km from Sheremetyevo-2 Inetrnational Airport and the Sretenskaya Hotel. If you are taking a taxi or prearranged transfer, the drive will take between 40 minutes one hour depending on traffic. The only practical public transport option currently available is to take a marshrutka minibus from outside the arrivals lounge to Planernaya Metro Station at the top of the purple line. From here, take the metro to the center and Kitai-Gorod Station, and change to the orange line. Travel two stops north to Sukharevskaya Metro Station, which is around seven minutes' walk from the hotel.
How do I get to the hotel from Domodedovo Airport?
The Sretenskaya Hotel is nearly 60km from Domodedovo International Airport in the centre of Moscow. If you are travelling by taxi or prearranged transfer, the journey will take around 90 minutes, depending on traffic. If you wish to use public transport, by far the fastest and most convenient method is to take the Aeroexpress rail link from Domodedovo to Paveletsky Station in the city centre. Trains run from 7am to 12am every hour (every half hour at peak times), and the journey takes just over 40 minutes. From Paveletskaya Metro Station, take the green line north one stop to Novokuznetskaya Station, and change there to the orange line at Tretyakovskaya. It is another three stops north to Sukharevskaya Station, which is around 250m from the Sretenskaya Hotel.
How do I get to the hotel from Vnukovo Airport?
If you plan to take a taxi or prearranged transfer, the drive to the Sretenskaya Hotel from Vnukovo Airport is around 45km, and will take around an hour. If you wish to use public transport, there is now an Aeroexpress rail link running between Vnukovo and Kievskiy Station in the city centre. Trains run daily from 7am to 10pm, and the journey takes 35 minutes. From Kievskaya Metro Station take the brown circle line four stops clockwise to Prospekt Mira Station. Change here to the orange line and travel one stop south to Sukharevskaya Station, just over five minutes' walk from the Sretenskaya Hotel.
How do I get to the hotel from Leningradakiy Station, Yaroslavskiy Station or Kazanskiy Station?
Komsomolskaya Ploshchad, also known as "Three Stations Square", is just over 1km east of the Sretenskaya Hotel, and by car the journey will take under 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Alternatively, take the metro from Komsomolskaya, which is directly linked to all three mainline stations, one stop anti-clockwise on the brown circle line to Prospekt Mira. Change there to the orange line and travel one stop south to Sukharevskaya (see metro map). The Sretenskaya is about five minutes' walk from there.

How do I get from the hotel to the Kremlin?
It is possible to walk to the Kremlin and Red Square from the Sretenskaya Hotel in a little over 30 minutes. Head straight down Sretenskaya Ulitsa, across Rozhdestvenskiy Bulvar, and on down Ulitsa Lubyanka. At Lubyanskaya Ploshchad, bear right along Teatralniy Proezd until you come out onto Teatralnaya Ploshchad, in front of the Bolshoi Theatre. From here the Kremlin walls and towers are clearly visible, as are the gates to Red Square. Alternatively, take the metro from Sukharevskaya one stop south to Turgenenvskaya and change there for the red line at Chistye Prudy. From here it is three stops south to Biblioteka im. Lenina, which can be exited directly in front of the main visitor entrance to the Kremlin.
How do I get from the hotel to the Bolshoi Theater?
To walk from the Sretenskaya Hotel to the Bolshoi Theatre, follow the same route as for the Kremlin (see above). By metro, take the orange line from Sukharevskaya (5 minutes from the hotel). Travel one stop south to Turgenenvskaya and change there for the red line at Chistye Prudy. Continue two stops south to Okhotniy Ryad, and exit following signs for the theatre.
How do I get from the hotel to the Tretyakov Gallery?
To reach the Tretyakov Gallery from the Sretenskaya, take the orange line from Sukharevskaya Metro Station (about five minutes' walk from the hotel) three stops south to Tretyakovskaya Station (see metro map). Exit following the signs to the Gallery, which is about five minutes' walk from the metro.
Which visitor attractions are located near the hotel?
The area around the Sretenskaya Hotel, although very much in the center of Moscow, is mostly residential. About 500m from the hotel on Tsvetnoi Bulvar, the Nikulin Circus is one half of the renowned Moscow State Circus, one of the city's most famous spectacles. Nearer to the hotel, on Sukharevskaya Ploshchad, the building of the Sklifosovskiy Institute of Surgery was once the Sheremetev Hospital, and dates back to the early 19th century, a superb example of Muscovite neo-classicism.
