The Sheremetyevo-2 Hotel was built as the official transit hotel for Moscow's largest international airport, and is located only three minutes' walk from the main airport entrance. Sheremetyevo-1, the domestic terminal, is around 4km from the hotel, and can be reached by free shuttle bus in around 10 minutes.
To get from the Sheremetyevo-2 to central Moscow, guest can either take a taxi, which can take up to 90 minutes, depending on traffic, or use the airport public transport network. Buses and marshrutka minibuses run from outside the arrivals exist to Rechnoi Vokzal and Planernaya Metro Stations, at the northern ends of the dark green and purple lines respectively. Thanks to the regular chronic traffic jams in Moscow, the journey to the center by public transport may be considerably quicker than by car. However, it is not recommended with anything but light luggage.
Guests in transit between Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo Airports can use the 24-hour coach service to travel from one airport to the other. Tickets can be bought in the arrivals lounge of Sheremetyevo-2 Airport. |
