The 3-star Hotel Peking is a famous Moscow landmark, offering reasonably priced mid-range accommodation in the heart of the city. Completed in 1955 to designs by Dimity Chechulin, one of the Soviet Union's most famous architects, the Hotel Peking was part of the post-war redevelopment of Moscow that saw the construction of the awesome 'Seven Sisters' neogothic skyscrapers.
The Hotel Peking boasts the same Stalinist grandeur outside, and inside offers elegant, somewhat old-fashioned accommodation in 122 rooms and suites. Renovated accommodation aspires to international 4-star standards, while the hotel also still offers some good-value older rooms that have their own specific charm. While services and facilities at the Hotel Peking are limited, guests do have access to all the basics, including reasonable restaurants and bars, a small gym, a business centre with basic office facilities, and a modern conference hall for mid-size meetings and events.
The Hotel Peking is situated on Triumphalnaya Ploshchad, in the very center of Moscow and just 2km from Red Square and the Kremlin. With a metro station only a couple of minutes' walk away, the hotel is equally convenient for sightseeing and for business travelers.
