The Medea Hotel is located in the colorful Zamoskvorechye district, just across the Moscow River from Red Square and the Kremlin. Before the Revolution, this area was the center of trade and commerce in the city, and for many centuries home to Moscow's wealthy middle class, to whom it owes its numerous charming parish churches. The area is still one of the most important business districts in Moscow, and the Medea's proximity to the Kremlin which can be reached in less than 15 minutes walk and to Novokuznetskaya Metro Station makes the hotel equally suited to business travelers and tourists.
The Medea's central location means that it is a fair distance from the city's two main airports, Sheheremetyevo (31km) and Domodedovo (30km). The journey time to both is likely to be over an hour. The nearest mainline station to the hotel, Paveletsky, is about ten minutes drive away, and is the terminal for express trains to Domodedovo. Moscow's other mainline stations are reachable in just over 30 minutes by car.
Novokuznetskaya Metro Station is under 100 meters from the Medea Hotel, and from here it is one stop to Red Square and the very center of Moscow. |
