Moscow's main shopping street, Tverskaya Ulitsa, begins not far from the Moscow Holiday Inn Lesnaya and runs down to the Manezh and Red Square. The historic center of Moscow is not that far away, and guests can get to know the city on their way to it, as well as discover some of the delights hidden away on the little streets that give Moscow's center its unique character.
Sheremetevo-1 and Sheremetevo-2 airports are located 45-50 minutes' by car from the hotel. Other airports - Domodedovo, Vnukovo, and Bykovo - take a bit longer, but can be reached in 1-1.5 hours.
The nearest rail station is Belarus Station, about 5 minutes' walk away. Riga, Kiev, Yaroslavl, Leningrad, and Kazan stations are located about 4 kilometers from the hotel, and take about 20-30 minutes to reach by car. Kursk and Pavletsk stations are a bit further away, and can be reached in about 40-50 minutes by car.

The Moscow State Academic Philharmonic is about a kilometer from the hotel. For more than 80 years the Philharmonic has been a musical center of Moscow life. Classical music concerts performed by Russian and foreign artists take place daily.
Roughly 20 minutes' drive away is the Bolshoi Theater, Russia's national theater and a center of Russian musical life. It is best known for its stagings of Russian works from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Moscow Zoo is located about 15-20 minutes' drive from the hotel. Founded in 1964, the zoo's collection is still expanding, although it is already the largest in Russia, with more than 6,000 animals representing 1,001 species. The zoo is currently undergoing reconstruction to make it a nicer place for both animals and visitors. |
