Yar is a name to conjure with in Moscow history. Before the Revolution, it was one of the city's most famous restaurants, frequented by aristocrats, wealthy merchants, artists and writers. The Historical Hotel Sovietsky has done its best to recreate the atmosphere of the original Yar Gypsy Restaurant, with sumptuous Russian Empire interiors and a menu that combines classic Russian dishes with a few more modern international options, all of the very highest quality. The restaurant features a show program every evening.
