Local sightseeing
Just a few minutes' walk away from the Belgrade Hotel is the Arbat, one of Moscow's most famous streets, and a center for the Russian capital's alternative culture. The area grew up in the 18th century, and has been a center for Moscow's intelligentsia ever since.

Approximately 1.5 kilometers from the Hotel Belgrade is the Pushkin Fine Arts Museum, one of Russia's finest, with a collection that includes foreign works from throughout the ages. In addition, it includes a huge collection of Russian and Soviet artworks, and a collection of Egyptian antiquities.

Next to the Belgrade Hotel, housed in one of the "7 Sisters" - huge Stalin-era tower-blocks - is the Foreign Ministry.
