The easiest way to get to the hotel is certainly by taxi or pre-ordered transfer. The Akademicheskaya is roughly 40km from Sheremetyevo, and the journey can take up to 90 minutes. If you prefer to use public transport, the quickest way is to take a marshrutka, or minibus-taxi, from just outside the exit to the arrivals lounge. These will take you to Rechnoi Vokzal Metro Station, at the top of the green line. From here, take a train to Novokuznetskaya, cross the platform and take the orange line south one stop to Oktyabrskaya. The Akademicheskaya is under five minutes' on foot from the station. The whole journey will take at least 90 minutes. |

How do I get to the hotel from Domodedovo Airport?
While the most comfortable option is undoubtedly taxi or pre-ordered transfer (the drive will take over an hour), public transport links to Domodedovo are very good. The Aeroexpress train runs from the airport every hour (every half-hour at peak times), and takes just over 40 minutes to reach Paveletsky Station. From there take the metro direct to Oktyabrskaya (two stops on the circle line). The Akademicheskaya Hotel is less than five minutes' walk from the station. Late at night and very early in the morning the only public transport option is the shuttle minibus service, which runs between the airport and Domodedovskaya Metro Station. The journey to the metro takes just under 30 minutes. From here take the green line north to Paveletskaya, change to the brown Circle Line and travel two stops west to Oktyabrskaya. |

Vnukovo Airport is the closest to the Akademicheskaya and by taxi or prearranged transfer it should take around 45 minutes to reach the hotel. Public transport is also reasonably convenient thanks to the new Aeroexpress rail link, which runs almost hourly from 8am to 10pm. The journey to Kievsky Station takes 35 minutes. From there take the Circle Line two stops south to Oktyabrskaya Station, which is under five minutes' walk from the Academicheskaya. If you are arriving late at night or early in the morning, the only option is to use the minibus shuttle service (no. 45) to Yugo-Zapadnaya Metro Station in the far south-west of the city. From there take the metro north to Park Kultury, change to the Cirlcle Line, and travel one stop east to Oktyabrskaya. The Akademicheskaya is under five minutes' walk from the station. |
